Over the past several years, my interest in glass has grown. As an illustrator for
so many years my use of color was a daily habit. The use of color sparked my
want to cast my work colorful glass.
I am working with Hugh McKay at the
Glass Burl Foundry. He has been casting similar work in 48% lead crystal, and this is what I wanted my work
cast in. He has been casting my work for almost two years. It has been
a long learning curve for the both of us. Each piece seems to have it’s own
characteristics, so this has made it even more challenging, but the
outcome is worth every bit of effort. I now get to see my work in brilliant color.
I have come to a point now that I want to try to market my glass work along
with my wood work and continue sharing my visions with others.
